Brittany's most beautiful landscapes by bike

Day after day, the itinerary reveals a different way of crossing Brittany and the Atlantic coast: more immersive, more intense, carried by the landscapes.

Day 1 - Brest to Quimper

We set off from Brest, with the harbor in the background. The route soon plunges into the spectacular landscapes of the Crozon peninsula: Pointe de Pen-Hir, Cap de la Chèvre and the jagged cliffs offer some of the most emblematic panoramas in Finistère. Morgat and its translucent waters invite you to slow down for a few moments, while the small ports along the coast, such as Douarnenez and the Port du Rosmeur, add to the typical Breton atmosphere of this stage. Arriving in Quimper naturally changes the atmosphere: cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and the silhouette of Saint-Corentin cathedral give the town a more heritage-based charm, which you can discover before returning to the4* Oceania Quimper.

Day 2 - Quimper to Lorient

This stage takes you through a Brittany of coves, discreet ports and villages with typical Breton houses. Between hydrangea-lined paths and thatched cottages, the route reveals an intimate coastline, particularly around Doëlan and the villages of the Pont-Aven region. Houses with colorful shutters, narrow streets and fishing ports give the route an almost timeless atmosphere. Cap-Coz, the Laïta estuary and wild beaches punctuate the route before arriving in Lorient, where the port atmosphere and wide-open harbor extend the maritime spirit of the day, just a few steps fromEscale Oceania Lorient.

Day 3 - Lorient to Vannes

Leaving Lorient, the route skirts the open landscapes of Morbihan before reaching the long sandy beaches of Kerhillio. Then comes one of the highlights of the trip: the wild coastline of Quiberon, with its wave-beaten cliffs and raw panoramas of the Atlantic. The route then alternates between small Breton ports, discreet chapels and characterful villages, such as Saint-Goustan with its granite houses and lively old port. As you approach Vannes, the scenery becomes gentler, between inlets and the atmosphere of the Golfe du Morbihan, before reachingEscale Oceania Vannes.

Day 4 - Vannes to Pornichet - La Baule

This leg of the trip takes us gradually from the atmosphere of Brittany to the bright lights of the Atlantic coast. After the historic streets of Vannes and the unspoilt countryside around Pen Lan, the route passes through several coastal villages full of character, between low stone houses, small harbors and pine-lined beaches. Piriac-sur-Mer is a particularly charming stopover, with its flower-filled lanes and granite facades facing the ocean. Then the Guérande peninsula marks the entrance to another atmosphere, between marshes, seaside villas and long beaches, before arriving at theEscale Oceania Pornichet - La Baule.

Day 5 - Pornichet to Nantes

The final leg follows the Loire estuary in a more contrasting atmosphere of industrial heritage, natural spaces and Loire villages. The impressive silhouettes of Donges and Cordemais tell of the region's maritime and industrial history, while the paths around Lac de Beaulieu and the banks of the Loire offer a particularly gentle end to the route. As you approach theOceania Hôtel de France in Nantes, the route gradually regains its urban energy, combining historical heritage and contemporary culture, to conclude this journey across the Grand Ouest.
