    PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

    The www.oceaniahotels.com Website is operated by Oceania Hotels Group, comprised of SA Sofibra and its subsidiaries.

    The present General Conditions of Internet Sales shall apply to all bookings made by any person reserving over the www.oceaniahotels.com Website, subject to the special conditions applied to certain rates and with the exception of group bookings exceeding a total of 10 rooms, this being valid for all hotels of the Group found on said Website (Hotel Escale Oceania** Lorient excepted).  All bookings made on the www.oceaniahotels.com Website assumes prior consultation and acceptance by the user of the present General Conditions of Sale.

    The client declares the booking to be for his/her own personal needs.  By consequence, his/her right of use shall remain strictly personal and may not be transferred.  The rates displayed on the www.oceaniahotels.com Website do not give right to commission.
    The Group may not be held responsible for any external links found on www.oceaniahotels.com and leading to other Websites.
     

    ROOM RATES

    Unless otherwise indicated, the rates on the present Website are systematically displayed in Euro, VAT included, per room and per night, for a determined number of persons per room on a chosen date.

    Unless otherwise stated, these rates do not include extra services (i.e. breakfast, half-board accommodation, car park, etc.).

    Tourist tax, particular to each town and paid directly to the hotel, is not included in the prices indicated; please enquire to the hotel concerned.
     

    NUMBER OF NIGHTS PER BOOKING

    For long stay bookings, the hotel reserves the right to charge the credit card used to make the reservation to guarantee part of the stay.
     

    GROUP RESERVATION

    Online booking is possible up to 5 rooms. At the end, we invite you to contact our reservation service at resa@oceaniahotels.com to benefit from adapted rates.
     

    BOOKING CONFIRMATION

    Bookings via Internet shall generate an automatic e-mail booking confirmation message, indicating all elements of the reservation.

    Failure to receive such confirmation, please contact the Booking Department, either at resa@oceaniahotels.com, by clicking on the Contact Us link or by directly checking with the hotel concerned.
     

    BOOKING, CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION OF A RESERVATION BY THE CLIENT

    Unless otherwise stated in the special conditions presented hereunder and applying to certain rates, bookings may be cancelled or modified by the client, exclusively through the Website (link to cancel or modify a booking), up to 4 p.m. on the planned day of arrival.

    All reservations made on the website oceaniahotels.com are not transferable and can not be resold to a third party or through a website.

    The hotel will bill the first night of stay to the client having reserved:
    -    should the former not have checked in on the planned date without having cancelled before 4 p.m.,
    -    should the former cancel his/her booking after 4 p.m.,
    -    should the former check out of the hotel on the same day as arrival.

    Bookings become effective as of 3 p.m. on the day of the client’s arrival and terminate at 12 noon on the day of departure.

    Bookings become valid after registering the client’s bank card type, bank card number and expiry date (still valid at the time of stay of the client having reserved) and the name appearing on the card.

    Any claim after registering a booking should be addressed to the Booking Department, or directly to the hotel concerned, within 24 hours following the date of reservation.
     

    CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION OF A RESERVATION BY THE HOTEL

    Should, at the time of arrival of the client having reserved, no rooms be available at the hotel, or there be a occurrence of force majeure, the hotel reserves the right to organize accommodation in another establishment under the best possible conditions. In such a case, any costs incurred due to said transfer shall remain at the expense of the hotel, the affected client being unable to claim compensation of any kind, whatever the grounds.

    The hotel may be released of its obligations, or may suspend execution thereof, should it be unable to fulfil the latter due to an event occurring independently of its will, beyond its control or to force majeure, notably complete or partial destruction of the hotel, strikes, catastrophes, fires, internal or external technical incidents and, as a general manner, any event not enabling the proper fulfilment of its service.

     
    GUARANTEE AND PAYMENT OF STAY

    At the time of booking, the person reserving shall transmit his/her bank details as means of guarantee, except in the case of special rates or special offers, such as otherwise stated in the special conditions of these hotel rates (please refer to the "Special Conditions for Internet Hotel Rates on www.oceaniahotels.com" on page 5).

    Hotel stays, together with any extras, should be paid to the hotel prior to departure, except in the case of rates subject to special conditions (please refer to the "Special Conditions for Internet Hotel Rates on www.oceaniahotels.com" on page 5).  Moreover, the client shall remain liable for all exchange rate fees when paying in a currency other than that of his/her country of residence.
     

    PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

    The Oceania Hotels Group has called upon "Travelclick" to handle the online booking process.  In this context, a confidentiality agreement has been signed between Oceania Hotels and "Travelclick" in order to ensure the privacy of data transmitted via the booking process.

    The information requested to the client at the time of booking is required by Oceania Hotels for the purposes of registering and confirming the reservation.

    Unless otherwise opposed by the person reserving, Oceania Hotels may, subsequent to the client’s stay, use his/her e-mail address to dispatch the hotel’s Newsletter, notification of special offers, or even an invitation to fill out the online customer satisfaction survey in relation to his/her stay.

    Pursuant to French Law no. 78-17 dated 6 January 1978, pertaining to information technology, files and civil liberties (comparable to the "Data Protection Act"), this Website, as well as the generation of automated personal data processing through this Website, have been duly declared with the CNIL  ["Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés" - French Data Protection Authority] (Declaration nos. 1212642, 1212643, 1212646, 1212649, 1212652, 1212653, 1212657, 1212658, 1212661, 1212665, 1212668, 1212671, 1212679, 1212680, 1212682, 1212684, 1212685, 1212693, 1212692 and 1212687).  The user of this Website is notably informed that all information transmitted when filling out the online forms is necessary for the purpose of responding to the former’s request, for the sole use of Oceania Hotels responsible for processing, in the context of its administrative and marketing policy.

    The present Conditions of Sale are complimentary to the above General Conditions of Sale. We recall that the Internet rates displayed on the www.oceaniahotels.com Website do not give right to commission.
     

    1. UNRESTRICTED RATES

    RACK RATES
    Bookings under this rate category may be cancelled or modified by the client at no extra charge, exclusively through the Website (link to cancel or modify a booking), up until 4 p.m. on the planned day of arrival.

    2. RESTRICTED RATES

    EARLY BOOKING AHEAD - no change or cancellation possible

    The "Early Booking Ahead" rates are restricted rates.  Once your booking is confirmed, the hotel reserves the right to debit your bank card for the full amount of your stay.

    Once the booking is confirmed, these rates may be neither modified, exchanged or refunded.

    The booking may not be cancelled or modified by the client for whatever reason.  The entire stay will be billed to the client having reserved, even if the room remains vacant throughout.

    Bookings are confirmed after registering, as means of payment, the client’s bank card type, bank card number and expiry date (still valid at the time of stay of the client booking) and the name appearing on the card.
     

    NON CANCELLABLE AND NON MODIFIABLE RATES
    The rates "no change or cancellation possible" are restricted rates. Once your booking is confirmed, the hotel reserves the right to debit your bank card for the full amount of your stay.

    Once the booking is confirmed, these rates may be neither modified, exchanged or refunded.

    3. RESIDENCY RATES (specific to the Hôtel Escale Oceania*** Pornichet La Baule)

    “Residency” rates are rates subject to apartment renting terms and are available for stays of more than 3 nights. For a stay of more than 14 nights, booking on-line is not possible. We advise customers to contact the Hôtel Escale Oceania Pornichet La Baule directly.
     

    BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
    For a stay of 3 to 6 nights (available all year round except from 1st July to 31st August): the booking shall be confirmed on reception of the signed commercial proposal and payment of a deposit equal to 30% of the total cost of the stay. The balance shall be paid 14 days before the arrival date. For any stay that has been booked less than 14 days before the scheduled arrival date, the full cost of the stay shall be paid before your arrival or at the latest on your arrival at the hotel. Customers may arrive from 5 PM and must leave before 10 AM.
    For a stay of more than 6 nights:
    - From 1st July to 31st August, week-long stays from Saturday to Saturday are only available.
    - Outside these dates, arrivals are possible on any day of the week.
    Customers may arrive from 5 PM and must leave before 10 AM.
     

    CANCELLATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
    On reception of the deposit, the booking is considered to be final and conclusive for the name under which the booking is made. Any partial or total alteration must be made in writing to OCEANIA HOTELS.
    For any partial or full cancellation of a stay scheduled between 1st July and 31st August, notified more than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date, the deposit made on signing of the proposal shall be returned. In the case of notification less than 30 days before the scheduled arrival, for any partial or full cancellation of the stay, the deposit made on signing of the proposal shall not be returned.     For any partial or full cancellation of a stay scheduled between 1st January and 30th June or between 1st September and 31st December, notified more than 14 days before the scheduled arrival date, the deposit made on signing of the proposal shall be returned. In the case of notification less than 14 days before the scheduled arrival, for any partial or full cancellation of the stay, the deposit made on signing of the proposal shall not be returned.     For an early departure during the stay, the hotel shall not make any refunds.
     

    TERMS & CONDITIONS OF THE STAY
    Arrival deposit
    For all bookings of apartments, a deposit of € 350 per apartment will be requested.
     

    Inventory / Inspection
    A summary document shall be given to the customer on his or her arrival. The customer is responsible for notifying the hotel of any remarks or alterations to be made before 12 noon on the day following his or her arrival. Failing this, the inventory shall be considered compliant and shall be used as the basis for the inspection on departure.
    If the inspection is conducted before your departure and no anomalies are observed, your deposit cheque shall be returned to you at the reception desk on your departure.
    If the inspection is not conducted before your departure and no anomalies are observed, your deposit cheque shall be returned to you at the latest 48 hours after your departure by postal mail.
    In the case of non-compliance revealed by the inspection and/or the inventory on your departure, the Hôtel Escale Oceania Pornichet La Baule reserves the right to cash the deposit cheque in order to cover the cost of repairs.
     

    Cleaning
    The customer is responsible for keeping the apartment clean during his or her stay and must carry out full cleaning before departure.
    In the absence of such cleaning, the inspection shall be deemed non-compliant. Consequently, cleaning services will be invoiced to the customer. Return of the deposit cheque shall be conditional upon payment for the above cleaning services.
    The hotel provides cleaning services during or at the end of the stay (for an extra fee, on request at the reception desk).
     

    Supply and changing of linen
    The linen (bath towels, sheets, tea towels) is supplied by the hotel and changed once per week.
     

    4. SETTLEMENTS OF DISPUTES 

    Customers are informed that they have the option of calling upon conventional mediation services, in particular the services provided by the Consumer Mediation Board (article L 612-1 of the Consumer Code), or services provided by existing sector-specific mediation authorities, or they may use any alternative method of settling disputes (arbitration, for example) in the event of disagreement.

    If the dispute has not been settled amicably within a period of 60 days following referral of the claim to the hotel or to the customer services department, the customer may refer the claim to the Tourism and Travel Mediator in the case of hotels belonging to the Oceania Hotels or Escale Oceania brands.
