The Corniche Promenade of President Kennedy will charm you with its magnificent view of the islands, like a “balcony overlooking the Mediterranean”. You can also rest on the world’s longest city bench – 2 kilometres long – and look out over the blue expanse of the Mediterranean. At the end of the Corniche, discover the observatory with Marseille’s famous Marégraphe (tide gauge), the only device recording tidal movements over the long term in Europe.
