The Rennes Opera House

Rennes’ opera house, the former Théâtre de la Ville designed by Charles Millardet, inaugurated on 29 February 1836, offers about twenty evenings of opera with four centuries of repertory, from Monteverdi to contemporary music. A wide range of concerts and dance performances are also on offer each season.  Rennes’ opera also takes its cultural activities beyond the walls of the opera house by organising tours throughout the region and off-site discovery concerts in the surrounding districts and towns.

The Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul Cathedral

The Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul Cathedral of Nantes is located on the Place Saint-Pierre in Nantes. It is the cathedral of the diocese of Nantes, seat of the bishop of Nantes. Its construction lasted 457 years, from 1434 to 1891, but these delays change nothing of the quality or consistency of its gothic style. It was classified an historic monument in 1862.
